The main areas of work of a practical psychologist:
- Psychodiagnostics:
- diagnosis of the readiness of children of the 1st and 5th grades for learning conditions. Identification of children of the risk group among school students;
- diagnosis of students' professional orientation – graduates.
- Psychological counseling:
- individual and group consultations with students, parents and teachers.
- Corrective-restorative and developmental work:
- group and individual work with at-risk children, work with 1st, 5th grade students to increase the level of readiness for new learning conditions;
- training classes on issues of formation of professional orientation and personality formation of graduates.
- Preventive work:
- prevention of cases of deviant behavior (disorders - eating, smoking, consumption of alcoholic beverages, gambling, etc.), preservation of mental health of children, teachers, parents.
- Educational work:
- conversations with students about a healthy lifestyle, violence in the family, human trafficking.
Practical school psychologist:
- Performs the initial examination of future first-graders during the selection of 1st grades.
- Determines the psychological readiness of children to study at the institution (diagnostic and corrective work with children who are not ready for school).
