From school's history

Starkoostyantyn secondary school No. 1 was built in honor of the 50th anniversary of Great October in 1965. Before that, the school was housed in a two-story building on the street. Pushkin No. 52 (the premises of the pre-revolutionary gymnasium).

The entire teaching staff took part in writing the history of the school. In the process of preparing “history of the school” historical documents related to the founding and development of the school were reviewed and used. Before the revolution of 1917, there were three schools in the city of Starokostiantyniv, a city two-grade school, two parish schools and a gymnasium run by the notary Sokolovsky. The Sokolovsky gymnasium existed for only two years and was closed because its owner went bankrupt. Gymnasium students were transferred to a newly built building (the former building of school No. 1. The building of the new gymnasium was built at his own expense in 1909 by Troiner (former coachman of a rich landowner, retired general of the village of Hrytsenka, Zamchysko estate). In 1911, the gymnasium was closed because the caretaker it was not possible to achieve that it was transferred to state funds, and the funds received for the right to study from students were not enough to maintain the teachers and the house. However, the existence of the gymnasium played a positive role in the further development of public education in the Starokostyantynivsky District. Under the influence of the public, the City Duma was forced to raise a petition for the opening of a gymnasium, which was opened in 1912 under the rights of the state. The gymnasium existed until 1920. In 1921, it was transformed into a socio-economic school. This school existed for two years, after which it was transformed into a seven-year labor school. In 1932, the school became a secondary school. The first graduation of the 10th grade took place in 1936. During the Great Patriotic War, the school building was completely destroyed. The teachers, together with the students, rebuilt their native school with their own efforts.

School No. 1 was the only Ukrainian secondary school in the city of Starokostyantyniv. The school had 1,200 students, of which 250 were pupils of orphanages. These children were orphaned by the war. There were 32 classes in the school, teaching was conducted in two shifts. In 1947, the orchestra of secondary school No. 1 played in the city for the first time. Its manager was Pervak Vasyl Abramovych. The physical education teacher Leonid Dmytrovych Sipailo became interested in the sports and mass work of the students. The championship in the region was won by school football players, who were participants in the final republican competitions. With the reconstruction of the city, new premises were built, which housed eight-year and secondary schools – Sugar factory No. 6 and No. 7 (modern No. 8). Part of the students of school No. 1 was transferred to these schools, which made it possible to partially relieve it. In 1956, the 20th Congress of the CPSU stated that the biggest flaw in school work is a certain disconnection of learning from life, insufficient preparation of those who graduate from school for practical work. The congress determined that it is necessary for schoolchildren to receive theoretical and practical training for future work in industry and agriculture. Woodworking workshops have been created at the school – for 20 jobs in metal processing – for 25 jobs. Workshops are equipped with machines and tools worth 24 thousand 41 kr. In the workshop, students learned to use tools, make educational supplies, repair school furniture, etc.

Using high school students, 15 carpentry machines were made, the school yard was fenced and the experimental area 600 – linear meters, handles for shovels, saps, rakes, and hammers were made, shelves for a large library were made, the school was electrified and radioed by the students, cornices for windows, frames for portraits were made, this list of completed works is far from complete. The school took an active part in helping the "Road to Communism" collective farm. in harvesting: in 1955, 2864 tons of potatoes were harvested from 28 hectares, in 1956 – 31.6 ha – 3169 ts, in 1957 – with 25.9 hectares – 2592 ts of potatoes. A park has been planted on an area of 10 hectares. In the first quarter of 1958, the Komsomol and pioneer organizations of the school collected and handed over 15.5 tons of ferrous scrap metal to the state. Pupils of the collective farm provided significant help in breeding waterfowl (2,550 eggs were collected). The school nurtured and instilled love for work, science and technology. The school and the school hall are decorated with pictures drawn by students – members of the "Young Artist" art group. Teacher Oleksandr Serhiyov Marynych diligently nurtured young artists. Circles regularly work at the school: “Young Physicist” literary, choral, chemical, “Young Technician,”, Yunnats, brass band is actively working. Initiative, a wide field of self-activity, connection with life – here are the main methods of work of the team of pioneers of Oleksandr Matrosov's wife. Decisions of the 12th Congress of the Komsomol and the 8th Plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine were of great importance in improving the work of the pioneer organization and restructuring its work methods. Numerous holidays have firmly entered the life of the wife: the school holiday, which is traditionally celebrated on August 30, the Last Call – graduation day of tenth graders, Harvest Festival – October 20, “Merry May Day” – pioneer hearth, hikes in nature "Towards Spring", "Golden Autumn", "Around the native land". Since 1956, it has been part of the tradition to celebrate the birthday of the pioneer detachment, meeting with prominent people of older generations.

In December 1957, a youth group was created under the pioneering organization, to which students of 1-2 grades were accepted. Work in the pioneer detachments has intensified: detachment meetings are held taking into account the interests and wishes of the pioneers, the spirit of competition has been widely introduced, many meetings are held in the context of an interesting, exciting game. The pioneering organization has carried out significant public service work. In 1958, a close relationship was established with the chiefs of the military unit.

Since 1964, great attention has been paid to the aesthetic design of the school premises, the assembly hall. The school created a social studies office, a pedagogy office, designed stands and albums, held literary conferences, pedagogic readings, and as always, in the first place – quality of knowledge and socially useful work of students. In 1964-65 he studied 6 students graduated with honors: Biletska Larisa, Gudym Nadiya, Volodymyr Ivasyuk, George Chernyak, Svitlana Yaroshenko, Hanna Komar. In the same year, the school collected 42 tons of scrap metal, from which a bus was made with the inscription: "Made from scrap metal collected by students of Starokostyantiniv secondary school #1". The foundation for the construction of a new standard school was laid in the city, as a gift to children in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Soviet state. This caused great joy and inspiration for teachers, students, and parents. Everyone actively participated in the work on the faster completion of construction. The solemn procession took place in the yard of the old school premises in the presence of children, parents and numerous guests. Another red date appeared in the school calendar – November 19, 1965. The celebration was opened by the head of the district executive committee Mykola Georgiyovych Shimkov, the secretary of the district party committee Storozhuk Ivan Yakovych congratulated the team of builders on the successful completion of construction, and students and teachers – with a new village and wished great creative success in educational and educational work. In a solemn atmosphere, the builders hand over a symbolic key to the school director. Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine Storozhuk I.Ya. cuts the ribbon. Builders, parents, representatives of the city public are invited to the holiday. In the assembly hall for 500 seats, there is a concert of artistic amateur performance according to the developed scenario. On the opening day of the school, students received warm and sincere congratulations from General Safonov, who led the liberation of the city of Starokostyantyniv. The new building has 24 classrooms, 6 light and spacious recreation rooms, offices equipped according to modern requirements – physical, chemical, biological, technical means. A magnificent assembly hall, a large gymnasium, metalworking workshops and carpentry. There is a dining room, a buffet. In February 1965, the pioneers of the school read in the regional newspaper “Soviet Podillia” The article "The liberation of Starokostyantyniv" author M.M. Lapotyshkin The pioneers wrote a letter to the newspaper editors with a request to send the address of the author of the article. It turned out that the article was taken from the regional archive, but the editors requested the Main Personnel Department, and a month later the address of Mykola Mykhailovych Lapotyshkin arrived. All this was the beginning of the great painstaking work of the “red trackers” detachment named after M. Ostrovsky headed by senior pioneer guide Berlyant Eti Davydivna. Mykola Mykhailovych responded to the pioneers' letters and sent his memories. And at the end of April, the pioneers of the Ostrovsky detachment unexpectedly received an invitation to come to Moscow for a meeting of former comrades-in-arms of the 6th Starokostantynov Order of the Suvorov Engineering and Sapper Brigade. At the meeting, the pioneers recorded the speeches of the soldiers of the brigade, the addresses of all the participants of the meeting, exchanged photos, together with the participants of the meeting, they visited the museum, the memorial places of the capital, took pictures with the participants of the meeting near the battle flags of the brigade, which are kept in the museum of the Soviet Army. After the meeting, a permanent correspondence was established with its participants. One unit is not capable of conducting such an important matter, and at the wife's council, it was decided to create a military glory club to continue the started business and to expand it. The club was founded in early September 1965. The tasks were varied, and at that time the directions of work of the pioneer scouts were developed in the club of combat glory.

In the winter of 1966, it was decided to connect the school's military glory and Komsomol members to the club. In the spring of 1966, teachers and students planted an orchard near the school, made flower beds, planted the school's territory with bushes and decorative trees, and equipped sports and geography grounds. At the end of 1967-68 the success rate at school is 99.9%. Eight tenth graders graduated with honors. From 1966-67 in the school there is a pedagogic class for the training of preschool teachers. In two years, 67 educators were released. The school takes first place in the region in terms of equipment and aesthetic design, received a regional pennant for exemplary sanitary conditions, holds first place in the region in artistic amateur activities, scrap metal collection, and has significant sports achievements. In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Soviet power, the district committee of the party and the district executive committee, evaluating the work of the pedagogic team, presented him with a commemorative flag for eternal preservation. Starokostyantynivsk comprehensive school of grades I-III #1 – it is an educational institution that educates and nurtures a creative personality. The basis of the work of the teaching team – personal pedagogy, the main principle of which is recognition, awareness of individuality as a person with his unique inner world. It is important for us that each student not only acquires versatile knowledge, but also develops his unique abilities, individual talents and realizes his potential.

Understanding that yesterday's comprehensive school cannot fully today create the most effective prerequisites for meeting the educational needs of the individual, we took care of profiling the high school. Already for the fourth year in the structure of the school of the 3rd degree social and humanities, philological, natural sciences, natural and mathematical profile classes are working. The main task facing the specialized classes is – preparation of graduates at the appropriate level for admission to higher educational institutions. Every year, 75-80 percent of school graduates become university students. The school actively cooperates with Kyiv International University, National Aviation University and Khmelnytskyi Business Institute. For more than one year, students of pre-university training faculties have been preparing for admission to these universities on courses at the school. From March 13 of this year, studies at the Open International University of Human Development “Ukraine” will begin on the basis of the school. For more than 15 years, classes with in-depth study of individual subjects have been operating at the school. Today there are nine such classes. English language, mathematics, biology, Ukrainian language, history of Ukraine are studied in depth. The members of the Small Academy of Sciences work fruitfully and effectively at the school.

During the last three years, 10 high school students became prize-winners of the regional stage of the competition-defense of scientific works: Medvedeva Ksenia, Sinyachov Yevhen, Zavodovsky Ilya , won the 1st and 2nd places in the Universiade, initiated by the Kyiv International University. The pride of the school is the prize-winners of the regional subject Olympiads: Dulipa Nataliya, Balabon Olga, Gorelov Viktor, Mykolyuk Oleksandr, Yuzyuk Olga and others. The folk group "Podolyanochka" was created more than 17 years ago. announced himself at All-Ukrainian and International festivals. He won a laureate on them. In January 2002, he was awarded the honorary title of "People's Art Collective". Repertoire "Podolyanochka" – authentic folklore, songs, dances and rites, recorded by the head of the group Tatyana Dantonivna Kunovskaya and the members of the band from the mouths of the old residents of Khmelnytskyi. It is interesting that the clothes in which the little singers perform at concerts are also authentic. Embroidered shirts and woven skirts – this is the work of folk craftsmen of the end of the 19th century – the beginning of the 20th century. Therefore, it is not surprising that in the 21st century “Podolyanochka” remains an original and unique collective of the Podilsk economic region of Ukraine. The pupils of the sisters Tamara Petrivna Kalibabchuk and Oksana Petrivna Kolomiets, members of the decorative and applied art group "Zernyatko", can be called real professionals. Not only the residents of Khmelnytskyi region had the opportunity to get acquainted with the performances of the band members, but also the participants of the International Youth Festival of Traditional Folk Culture "Wooden Springs" and the International Festival "Sun, Youth, Beauty" held in Bulgaria. The family team of Kolomyets-Kalibabchuk twice won the 2nd place in the regional festival of family art teams “Bless, mother…” in the nomination "Decorative and applied art".

And in November 2002, it was awarded the title of “exemplary artistic team”. None of the city holidays is complete without the exemplary dance team "Arabesque". (head Oksana Volodymyrivna Bueva), which includes more than 80 boys and girls who are in love with dance. On the initiative of the band leader, with the sponsorship support of parents, several options of costumes have been purchased in recent years. The team was repeatedly recognized in the regional review of artistic amateur performance, won the 3rd place in the regional festival of folk dance "Podilsky Kaleidoscope", which was held in the city of Khmelnytskyi in December 2003. The collective's repertoire includes folk and modern dances, which are a means of forming a high artistic and aesthetic culture of pupils. For long-term and multifaceted work to the dance team "Arabesque" in November 2002, the title of "exemplary artistic team" was awarded.
