World Teachers' Day

October 5 is World Teacher's Day.

- according to the decision of UNESCO, the professional holiday of education workers.

In Ukraine, "Education Workers' Day" is established in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 513/94 and is celebrated on the first Sunday of October, and the greetings begin already on Friday.

A teacher is a person who teaches other people (his students), imparts certain knowledge to them. He is a specialist who conducts educational and educational work with students in secondary schools of various types.

Teaching is the oldest occupation of mankind. Even in ancient Greece, the word "pedagog" was used, which meant "child's guide".

In Starokostyantiniv region almost from the middle of the 19th century. each church had an elementary school with one or two teachers. In the 20th century schools became seven-year, secondary. There were more teachers, but the status of the teacher always remained quite high. She was, as they say, "the first person in the village", to whom children and adults turned for advice. My great-great-grandfather Kuzma Oleksandrovych Sobchuk was such a respectable person in the village. In 1898 Historian Teodorovych wrote: "The church-parish school of literacy in the village of Hrybeninka has existed since 1885. It is located in the church house and is supported by parishioners' funds. The teachers in different years were soldier Ilya Gudym and now retired non-commissioned officer Kuzma Oleksandrovych Sobchuk." Kuzma Oleksandrovych, his children, grandchildren were respected in the village. For being hard-working, decent, believing people who supported not only education, but helped maintain the church in the village. The family of his granddaughter Maria, married to Ostapchuk, was called "gods" in the village, because they did a lot for the church.

From my father, I always heard only good words about his teachers, and he studied in the village of Pashkivka.

My memories of school No. 1 in Starokostyantinov are also only good and kind. Although my father's school years were difficult after the war, his generation studied in simple, cold classrooms, and we studied in a new, bright, spacious building, one of the best in the city at that time - a feeling of gratitude, respect for the school, as for a native home, for teachers , as senior mentors remained in the memory for a lifetime.

How can you forget the lessons of secondary school teachers No. 1: physics of Eduard Antonovich Kozak, who could explain complex material like telling a fairy tale easily, clearly for perception and at the same time patiently and calmly convey the explanation to everyone.

As the classic said: "The profession of a teacher is not as visible as that of a doctor, but it is no less significant. A teacher should heal souls." Such were our literature teachers. Lessons from Nela Davydivna Bosina, who always looked like an actress, well dressed, with her hair done, very perceptive, attentive to everyone, scrupulously presented the material.

20 years after school, we learned that she left for Israel, lived and wrote there.

From her stories, we learned about her childhood as a child of war.

Ukrainian language and literature teacher Oksana Yosypivna Nikityuk is attentive and perceptive to children's souls, able to convey knowledge to everyone.

Unforgettable classes of "Denisovich" physical therapist Volodymyr Denisovich Kovalenko, who with humor and parental advice was able to present the material in such a way that it seemed as if you yourself, by nature, could easily run, jump and earn good grades.

The lessons of Khoma historians Yakovych Grobman and Volodymyr Ilyich Mudryk are different, but each one is interesting and unique.

The drawing and drawing teacher Marynych taught in the same way as at the institute, after his classes the students went to study at the art school or to the "drawing" group at the Schoolboy's House.

Lyudmila Stepanivna Bogdanova is a foreign language teacher and our class teacher. She came to the "first school" immediately after the institute. She is still a very young person, she immediately became not only a teacher for the class, but an older friend, an adviser. We were proud to have such a young and beautiful "leader".

Unforgettable anatomy lessons by Lina Leontiivna Kravetska. How can we forget the teachers of the lower classes, those who prepared us for the upper classes - the extended day teacher Nina Ananivna, who was able to explain any material from mathematics or language in an accessible way, and Lyubov Yakivna, who brought us to discipline and order.

Permanent director of city school No. 1 Leonid Volodymyrovych Pekach. No one ever heard him shout, but he was understood by half a word, by a look and always respected and obeyed.

This list of teachers can be endless. Many years have passed and we realize that we remember and remember our teachers with respect, not only because they taught us something, gave us certain knowledge, but because they treated us students with love, understanding, and respect , sincerely investing a part of ourselves in each of us. These qualities of a teacher have always been valued together with professional skills.

The role and importance of education workers in our life is invaluable.

The teaching profession has always been honorable, and teachers are respected people.

And then.... Our students and their parents tried on the role of a teacher for one day and conducted real lessons in the classrooms👍!
The decoration of the day was a festive concert with the participation of talented students of our school and invited dance groups of the city. The assembly hall was filled with songs, dances, sensual poems and humorous video greetings from this year's school graduates. 👨‍🎓👩‍🎓
